Car Rental Information

Driver’s License Requirements

  • The renter and all authorized drivers must present a valid, unexpired, and original driver's license at the time of the rental.
  • The driver's license must be in good condition and valid for the entire rental period. Temporary Licenses are only accepted when presented alongside the original expired or voided driver's license.
  • Photocopies, digital licenses, Learner's Permits, and driver's licenses with driving restrictions will not be accepted.
  • All drivers with a non-US driver's license must produce a valid passport at the time of rental.

Age Requirements

  • The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 25.
  • Autolux Car Rental doesn’t charge an additional under 25 rental fees.

Additional Drivers

  • Additional drivers must meet same rental qualifications as the renter.
  • Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter.
  • There is a limit of one additional driver per rental contract.

Payment Methods&Deposits

  • We accept all major credit and debit cards.
  • The renter must be the owner of the presented means of payment which must be presented at the start of the rental.
  • A deposit including an additional $400 more than the cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental, and the funds will not be available for use until after the vehicle has been returned.
  • Cash, prepaid cards and money orders are not acceptable forms of rental deposit.

Insurance and Optional Services

The renter has the option of additional insurance and protection packages that are available for purchase along rental car reservation.

Autolux Car Rental does offer CDW, Liability coverage and Collision Liability coverage insurance.

  • Collision Damage Waiver is an optional service which covers all vehicle damage to Autolux car rental, regardless of fault, provided the renter is not in violation of the Rental Agreement. With CDW, there is no need to pay deductible if the renter causes an accident in rental vehicle.
  • Liability coverage may help pay for another person's medical bills or damage to another person's property if the renter causes an accident in rental vehicle.
  • Collision Liability coverage may help pay to repair vehicle rental car if it's damaged when the renter collides with another vehicle or object and may help pay for damage to another person's property if the renter causes an accident in rental vehicle.

Warning To Renters

WARNING TO RENTERS: Your personal automobile insurance carrier or insurance provided by your credit card company may provide some of the optional coverage’s listed above. Please check with your insurance carrier and/or your credit card company before you purchase to avoid duplicative coverage. Please be advised that your optional coverage may be void if the damage or loss results from an authorized driver's (A) intentional, willful, wanton, or reckless conduct, (B) operation of the vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, (C) towing or pushing anything, (D) operation of the vehicle on an unpaved road if the damage or loss is a direct result of the road or driving conditions, (E) used for commercial hire, (F) used in connection with conduct that could be properly charged as a felony, (G) involved in a speed test or contest or in driver training activity, (H) operated by a person other than an authorized driver, (I) operated outside of the United States, (J) renter provided fraudulent information to the rental company, (K) carry hazardous material, or (L) provided false information and the rental company would not have rented the vehicle if it had instead received true information.

Contract Violations

  • Contract violations include, but are not limited to:
  • Driving the vehicle outside of CA or NV
  • Driving while intoxicated
  • Towing of any sort
  • Failure to return the rental vehicle by due date
  • Operation of the vehicle by someone who is not listed as an authorized driver on the contract
  • Failure to pay all charges listed on the contract at time of return.

Car Rental Returns Policy

Our rates are on a 24-hour time clock, and we give extra a 60-minute grace period to return a vehicle, before it turns into another day charge.

After hours service

  • Please lock car doors and windows and then place the keys in the key drop window located at the front of the entrance door.
  • The renter’s responsibility for vehicle condition ends once an Autolux Car Rental inspects the vehicle the next business day.

Mileage Policy

  • All vehicles in Autolux Car Rental have a limit of 150 miles per 24-hour period.
  • An extra mileage fee up to $0.3 may be applied for every additional mile over the allowed limit.

No Particularly Vehicles Guarantees

  • Autolux Car Rental does not guarantee specific brands or colors of vehicles at any time.
  • If the vehicle that you reserved is not available, an alternate or upgraded vehicle may be assigned at management discretion.

Cleaning Policy

  • Renters must return the car in the same condition as received to avoid extra cleaning charge.
  • A cleaning fee up to 350$ may be applied to the cost of a rental.

Smoking policy

  • All vehicles in our fleet are designated as non-smoking cars.
  • A Cleaning Fee of up to $350 may be applied to the cost of a rental, should this policy be violated.

Pet Policy

Autolux Car Rental is Pet Friendly,

but please be sure to return your rental car in clean condition and free of pet hair, etc. to avoid cleaning fees.

Fuel Policy

  • Renters must return the vehicle with the same amount of gas as received to avoid extra fuel charge.
  • A fuel fee is 20$ may be applied to the cost of a rental.

Lost and Found

  • Autolux Car Rental will not uphold responsibility for any personal belongings left in the vehicle or within the location premises.
  • If you have lost items, please contact us as soon as possible.
